Growing up as a competitive volleyball player, I was always intrigued by the impact eating certain foods before a competition or meet had on my performance. I had a love for science and how nutrition could have either the most beneficial or detrimental impact on both athletic performance and overall health.
As we all know, athletes generally need more food structure than the average person. It’s absolutely a common myth that Intuitive Eating and sports nutrition are incompatible. What if I say; even for athletes, intuitive eating is a tool that athletes can use to nourish their bodies, understand what their bodies need. Intuitive eating can provide many benefits for athletes, including improved performance, healthier relationship with food and body, and more.
I work with athletes and active people of all ages, educating them on how best to fuel their bodies. I believe nutrition is highly individualized and work closely with my clients to figure out what will help them succeed.
